Detroit resident, Mike McGonigal, has written about art and music for Spin, The Village Voice, Artforum, and Index. He's written two books on cult indie-rock acts Galaxie 500 and My Bloody Valentine, and his gospel compilation reissues have garnered acclaim from the New York Times, NPR, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and the New Yorker. McGonigal was also the publisher/editor of the highly-regarded fanzines Chemical Imbalance and Yeti.
