Seattle isn’t a city often recognized for its mid-century architecture, but it still has some gems. Due to the many phases of progress since the 1962 World’s Fair, plenty of buildings have been demolished, while those left don’t necessarily have landmark status within reach. The hope of this project is to find the flattering angles of the underappreciated and tucked away apartment buildings, still-standing houses, and other mid-century structures in Western Washington while they’re still intact.

Perfect Bound Softcover, 40 pages

Included with the book is a Seattle sign enamel pin and two postcards.

About the Brand

Carefully curated, design-minded goods. Porchlight began in 2009 as a coffee and record shop. Since then it has expanded, but kept the same small space on Capitol Hill. They carry goods that they've designed as well as those made by folks they admire--some friends--and some they've never had the pleasure of meeting. While Porchlight is primarily a coffee shop, they host a small rotating selection of curated items unrelated to coffee. Porchlight Design Co. is their expanded selection of those curated items.

Their goal is to provide products that are well-made for a reasonable price. Functional, fun and good-looking goods should be accessible to as many folks as possible and Porchlight Design Co. is their attempt at just that.
